Vision & Mission of Summer Mission

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20, NKJV

God uses humans as His instruments in achieving His great mission. We have a significant role in whether or not God’s purpose is fulfilled. Therefore, we are responsible to find the best ways for God’s purpose to be achieved effectively and efficiently.

Churches and mission organizations are the body of Christ who are mutually dependent on one another in order to establish the Kingdom of God on earth. Mission organizations need the local Churches because:

  1. The local Churches posses the human power, financial strength and prayer support needed in the mission organizations
  2. The local Churches nurture the newborn believers until they can grow into spiritual adulthood and be “mighty men of valor”
  3. The local Churches are a place of restoration or “hospitals” for those mighty warriors who might have been hurt due to the warfare
  4. The local Churches provide stability in doctrine and nurturing. On the other hand

The local Churches need mission organizations because:

  1. Mission organizations are able to swiftly move and posses focused vision that helps with the dynamics of the local Churches
  2. Mission organizations are able to reach vast areas of the world because they do not bring the name of a Church or denomination
  3. The flexible nature of mission organizations allows us to grasp the opportunities that come across
  4. Mission organizations provide specialisation and professionalism because the workers in the mission organizations can be filtered (not volunteers)
